Fenghuang Dancong (Dragon Phoenix)
Generation Tea Loose Leaf Oolong Tea
Fenghuang Dancong - This dark oolong has
a long history as a tribute tea. A tribute
tea was traditionally the highest grade
of tea that was given to the emperor or
high officials. Today in America we may
be familiar with the “tea tax”.
This tea was actually the tax that locals
paid as tribute. This oolong is made up
of dark, extremely fragrant strips. It
comes from the Guangdong Province of China,
where it is drunk in small, concentrated
(1 oz) cups, which are almost intoxicating.
Brewed in this way the tea steeps for
less than one minute using lightly boiling
water. Can be used 2 or three times and
still preserve the rich dark aromas.

Royal Fenghuang Dancong (Dragon
Phoenix)
Generation Tea Loose Leaf Oolong Tea
This is a very exclusive tea that can
be brewed three times with good taste.
You can even go for a fourth brew if you
brew gongfu style. This tea was born and
grown to be brewed in this fashion, using
less than 5 oz. of water with 3-4 grams
of leaves. The dark brown, almost black
leaves turn a deep green. This exhibits
the 'craftmanship' that goes into the
production of this tea. It also has an
amazing fragrance when you smell the brewed
tea. An essential addition to your teas.

Baimudan Oolong (Extra Special)
Generation Tea Loose Leaf Oolong Tea
This tea is a fine oolong. The two top
leaves are plucked at the peak of the

Peony curled edges which distinguish this
rare tea from other varieties. The flavor
is unforgettable and sweet while still
brewing a rich cup. Easily a favorite
of those who are lucky enough to procure
it. The flavors develop as the leaves
open through multiple infusions. There
is a distinctive flavor and some signs
of light oxidation of the leaves when
steeped. The leaves exhibit a rainbow
of colors from deep greens to yellow.
Use 185 degree water for 2 to four minutes
to help awaken these leaves. A great morning
tea with it’s unique flowery taste.

Wild 'Purple' Tea
Generation Tea Loose Leaf Oolong Tea
This tea hails from Zhangzhou, Fujian
China. There are no roads and the farmers
hike deep into the forest to harvest these
leaves from real tea trees that can grow
to 21 feet. The tea is processed and rolled
similar to an oolong, but the flavor is
much more earthy and rustic. I imagine
this is what the primordial tea must have
tasted like. The leaves infuse quickly
and stand up to 4 steepings with dynamic
flavor. Drinkers of this tea say it helps
constipation, lowers heat in the body,
helps women's regularity and doesn't keep
one up at night. It may be possible that
this is a low caffeine tea because of
it's unique growing conditions. A very
unique tea.

Organic Seasonal Oolongs – We are
happy to offer various pickings or ‘flushes’

with some browning on the edges. All the
varieties are the classic, tightly rolled
oolong that slowly release their myriad
of flavors. This is a special series of
teas. One can explore and discover the
energetic and subtle differences that
each season captures in the leaf. Each
season and leaf can nourish a different
aspect of ourselves. All these teas are

tea shelf. All these teas are certified
organic by the MOA (a respected Japanese
Certifier). They offer pure natural growing
conditions along with their exquisite
flavors that are unique to the oolong
teas that hail from Taiwan. A tablespoon
of tea can be brewed with water at 185

Oriental Beauty Oolong
Generation Tea Loose Leaf Taiwan Oolong
Tea
This world-class tea is grown on Er Mei
Mountain, Hsin-Chu, Taiwan at 800-900M.
It is a special production tea which is
quite limited. This white haired tea is
60% oxidized which delivers its honey
like flavor. Queen Elizabeth II called
this tea an ‘Oriental Beauty’
when she first tasted it. It takes 3000-4000
buds to make one pound of tea. This tea
is quite mysterious. It tastes like many
different teas combined. Sometimes it
seems like an oolong bordering on a black
tea. Other times it is fresh and crisp
like a white tea that has some oxidation.
Discover for yourself the complexity of
the white tipped beauty. About 60% oxidized
creating a chocolate brown leaf. Steep
three times with 190 F. deg water.

Spring Green Oolong Tea
Generation Tea Loose Leaf Taiwan Oolong
Tea
First these leaves are wilted in direct
sunlight. After they are turned in big
bamboo baskets to bruise the edges of
the leaves. This is a classic production
for good oolong tea. It makes the leaves
sweet and fruity, which are hallmarks
of the teas of Taiwan. These fine Taiwanese
oolongs are usually brewed gongfu style
and highly concentrated. Because many
leaves are used for each serving and the
high quality of the leaf, these teas can
be re-steeped 4-6 times and still get
good flavor. We suggest to use a guywan
or teapot no bigger than 6 oz. to brew
these teas. Use just boiled water at about
185 deg F. for full extraction. They do
also make amazing iced tea which your
friends will not quickly forget.
