This Silver needle tea is rare and distinctive. This tea originates from Mt. Junshan in Yeuyang County in Hunan province. These buds are nipped by hand to take only the finest part of the young buds. The high number of buds needed for this tea contributes to its rarity. Junshan has a unique flavor that is slightly nutty with hints of sweetness. Brewing is tricky with this tea but we suggest shorter steeps with more leaves to experience this special tea's attributes. In China this tea is referred to as "Yellow Tea".

Big Bud Yunnan White Tea

This white tea is made up of the finest top buds picked early in Spring. The taste stands up to three good steeps. Enjoy this tea for it's antioxidants and great taste. Use water of 175 deg. F. or higher and don't steep for more than three minutes. One and a half to two minutes should give a great cup. Just a hint of smoky drying preserves the buds integrity. Enjoy.

This is a top grade yellow tea grown in the Huoshan area of Anhui province. The leaves are fine and tender when steeped, being picked in the Spring harvest. The special process to create this tea has been practiced since the Tang Dynasty. That's a long history of this tea being presented as a gift to the highest officials. Now we can all enjoy this fine and refreshing tea. Huoshan Huang Ya is a tea high in antioxidants and slightly oxidized. Can use this tea two or three times. This is a good tea to put dry leaves in the bottom of a cup and let the brew turn an amazing shade of yellow. Try it yourself.

This tea is the most well known variety of white tea. It consists of uniform buds that have yet to open into leaves. The dry leaves have a silky texture from the fine white hairs that cover each shoot. When steeped, the leaves turn a brilliant green color and the budlets become revealed. The flavor is unmistakable and long lasting. The aftertaste is astringent and satisfying. This tea delivers a high level of antioxidants and is IMO certified organic. A small handful (3-5 grams) can be steeped two to three times for about two minutes with great taste.
