Repeatedly rolled into their tight shape, these leaves open to reveal Tieguanyin’s classic, dark green, shiny leaves. This tea is darker and richer than its mainland China cousins. It produces a brew that is deep orange to red in color. It has a light, fruity aftertaste that is only slightly astringent. Good for digestion and great after meals for its full bodied character. Grown in Nantou County in Central Taiwan, this tea takes water up to 190 degrees and can be infused three or four times in a small teapot. A favorite of many tea fans.
