Jasmine Pearls Green Tea
Generation Loose Leaf Green Tea Pearls
Jasmine Dragon Pearls - No tea shelf can
be complete without these wonderful tiny
tea balls. Jasmine tea is actually infused
with the intoxicating scent of Jasmine flowers.
The flowers are placed under the drying
tea leaves which absorb and preserve their
aromas. Several leaves are rolled together
to create a pearl. When brewing, the pearls
unroll from their tight spheres into full
leafs which release the scent of the tea.
Use about 5-10 pearls for each serving,
less if you are going to drop them at the
bottom of a cup and leave them in the liquor
(liquid). Teacup brewing will produce a
deeper yellow brown tea which can be strong.
Use boiling water at about 190 degrees to
extract the hearty jasmine taste. Steep
for about 3 minutes to allow the pearls
to open and release the sweetness of the
Jasmine. Use 3-4 times, if the water was
not too hot. A favorite.

Jasmine Blossom Loose Green Tea
Stash Loose Leaf 3.5 oz
The jasmine plant was brought to China before
the third century. However, it wasn’t
until sometime around the fifth century
that its intoxicatingly fragrant flowers
were first blended with tea. Today Jasmine
mainly comes from the counties surrounding
Foochow in Fukien province, a district the
Chinese poet Lu Yu included in his list
of the outstanding tea producing areas.
The delicate Jasmine flower opens only at
night and is plucked in the morning, when
the tiny petals are tightly closed. Flowers
and tea are ''mated'' in machines that control
temperature and humidity. It takes four
hours or so for the tea to absorb the fragrance
and flavor of the Jasmine blossoms, and
for the highest grades, this process may
be repeated as many as seven times. Jasmine
is, without a doubt, one of the world's
great teas. Our Jasmine Blossom blend has
downy silver tips and most of the spent
jasmine blossoms have been removed. It has
an intoxicating aroma and a balanced and
delicate flavor. This romantic tea may be
enjoyed any time of the day but is especially
pleasant in the evening.

They thought the crop was ruined but the
tea was sold to England, where a taste soon
developed for this unique smoky variety.
Lapsang Souchong has long been a favorite

Gunpowder Pearl Mint Green Tea
Frontier Loose Leaf w/ mint 1lb
Frontier's Mint Gunpowder is a strong tasting
green tea made from the highest quality
first-harvested tea blended with spearmint
and organic peppermint leaf. The tea was
named 'Gunpowder' by an imaginative English
clerk who thought the tiny rolled green
tea balls looked like balls of gunpowder.
The Chinese name is Siaou Chu, which means
'large leaf.' It is also called 'Pearl Tea.'
Rolling the leaf both forces out the water
and brings the flavorful juices to the surface.
The dehydrated pellet retains its shape
during firing and keeps its freshness longer
than tea not manufactured in pellet form.
Once immersed in water, the tea leaf unfurls,
revealing the entire whole leaf.
